Marilyn Beauvais, 82
Marilyn Maybelle Beauvais, age 82 of Somerset, died on Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Hudson Hospital.
Marilyn was born on Jan. 14, 1927 in St. Paul, Minn. to William and Alice Salchow. Marilyn married Bernard Joseph Beauvais on Oct. 5, 1946 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset, Wis. Their union in marriage was blessed with six children.
For more than 20 years, Marilyn worked as an assembler with Andersen Windows.
Outside of her work, she enjoyed going to the family cabin up north, fishing, bowling, golfing and bonfires at home. Marilyn enjoyed riding with Bernie on many motorcycle trips, and together, they especially enjoyed being proud "hockey grandparents," following and supporting their many grandchildren during their many hockey seasons.
During the past few years, while residing at the Christian Community Home in Hudson, Marilyn and her husband, Bernie, enjoyed playing bingo and cribbage. Marilyn's love for her family is a lasting legacy that will be greatly missed by her children, and three generations of her grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Bernie; her sister, Helen Raab; and her parents.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Bernie; her children, Mary (Greg) Parnell of Somerset, Kathy (Bernell) Jansen of Somerset, Charlotte (Wayne) Schmidt of Somerset, Mike (Colleen) Beauvais of New Richmond, and Christine (Eric) Peterson of Somerset; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn Beauvais was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset. Visitations was both be held at the church one hour prior to mass at church on Tuesday, and also on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at church, with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary Service. Interment took place at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery. Marilyn's grandsons, Chad, Clint, Eric, Jason, Jade, Blaine, Casey, Beau, Ryan and Logan, had the honor of serving as her casketbearers.
