Kelly earned her All-American status by placing sixth in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:24.42 at the NCAA Division 3 National Championships, held May 23-25 at UW-La Crosse.

Kelly's time ranks fourth in UW-Oshkosh history in the 1,500 and gives New Richmond natives two of the top four spots in that event. New Richmond native Ayla Mitchell ranks third all-time in that event at UW-O. Kelly dropped nine seconds in the final two races of her career to bring her time down to the 4:24.42 mark.

Kelly's teammate, Christy Cazzola, ran the race in 4:17.22 to win the national championship in this year's 1,500. Cazzola accomplished a first at the national championships by running to championships in the 800, 1,500 and 5K races.

Oshkosh scored 43 points at the national meet, finishing second to Wartburg College, which won the national title with 46 points.
