Melby celebrates 45 years at clinic
General Surgeon Neal Melby, M.D., was recognized recently for 45 years of practicing medicine in New Richmond. He originally began his practice at New Richmond Clinic in 1968.
Melby was born and raised in New Richmond, and received his medical training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a board certified surgeon serving as clinic associate, general surgeon and primary care physician at New Richmond Clinic. Areas of special interest and expertise include general surgery as well as gynecological surgery, laser surgery and laparoscopic procedures.
Active in the community, Melby currently serves on the New Richmond School Board and at his church. In the past he has served as a member of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and the New Richmond Preservation Society. He is a member of the St. Croix/Pierce County Medical Society, the Wisconsin State Medical Society and the American Medical Association. His personal interests include outdoor activities, raising animals, horticultural activities and spending time with his grandchildren.
