Memorial tournament winner to play at Milwaukee PGA tourney
Milwaukee's PGA tournament got some good news Tuesday.
Kenny Perry, who won the Memorial Tournament last weekend, has committed to play in the U.S. Bank Championship July 17-20 at Brown Deer Park.
Perry is skipping the British Open that week. He's also taking a pass on next week's U.S. Open, so he can pace himself to try and make the U.S. Ryder Cup team. That event will be played in Perry's home state of Kentucky in September.
Perry, 47, Perry is no stranger to Milwaukee fans. He won the U.S. Bank tournament in 2003 and he tied for fifth last year.
All told, Perry has seven Top-10 finishes in eight Milwaukee tournaments.
This year, Perry is one of the hottest players on the PGA Tour. He has only missed one cut and has seven Top-25 finishes.
