Milk production up in March
Wisconsin's dairy cows kept working harder in March than the year before.
Total milk production was up 1.7 percent, at just more than 2 billion pounds.
Each cow made an average of 20 more pounds of milk, or about 1,660 pounds.
Wisconsin added 5,000 cows over the last year.
As good as those numbers sound, they're still below the national average.
