Slated for Tuesday, Aug. 12, the celebration will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the Miller’s Corner Mall, located at the crossroads of County Road TT and Cherry Lane in Roberts.

According to Amanda Gustafson, director of marketing and communication at Baldwin Area Medical Center, the event is sponsored by businesses in the Miller Corner Mall and is open to the surrounding communities.

“The last two years have gone very well,” Gustafson said. “We’ve seen an average of about 1,000 people coming through each year, most of them with young families.”

While there will be a Fantasy Corral petting zoo and bike helmet fittings courtesy of the fire department for youngsters, older attendees will also receive business tours and the chance to win an iPad and other prizes. Live entertainment featuring Mark Stary and free dinner will be provided by The BarnBoard Grill & Saloon.

The local businesses sponsoring the event are Roberts Medical Clinic, Barn Board Grill & Saloon, Corner Clippers, Bobtown Pet Clinic, Catalyst Sports Medicine and Park Dental.
