Milwaukee All-Star Ryan Braun missed second straight game
Brewers' left fielder Ryan Braun missed his second straight game Sunday with a stiff upper back.
The All-Star has been hurting since he got drilled there by a pitch from Pittsburgh's Jeff Karstens last Monday night.
Braun said it was close to the inter-costal rib cage tightness that has plagued him on and off since the middle of last season.
He had treatment for it Sunday morning, but it didn't help.
Braun hopes to play tonight, when the Brewers open a two-game set at Pittsburgh.
He started Milwaukee's first 23 games before sitting out Saturday night.
Sunday, was Ryan Braun Bobble-head Day at Miller Park and Braun said he wanted to be out there.
Instead, manager Ken Macha dropped Rickie Weeks from the lead-off spot to third for just the second time in Weeks' career.
Corey Hart moved into the lead-off spot.
Macha said Weeks has been hitting the ball as well as anyone lately and indeed, Weeks tripled to the right field corner in the sixth inning.
