Milwaukee has a 2.5 game lead over Cardinals in the NL Central
The Brewers now have a 2.5 game lead over second-place St. Louis in the National League Central division.
Milwaukee was off Monday, while the Cardinals lost at home to Colorado, 5-2. Clint Barmes drove in two runs, as the Rockies swept their four-game set with the Cards.
The Rockies now roll into Miller Park with a five-game winning streak, while the Brewers are coming off a 3-4 road trip which ended with a one-run loss at Atlanta on Sunday.
Right-hander Braden Looper will start for Milwaukee tonight against right-hander Jason Hammel.
Looper is 5-3 with a 4.65 ERA. He had a one-hitter after four innings at Florida last week, when he gave up four runs and didn't make it through the fifth.
Hammel, a rookie, is 2-3 with an ERA of 4.5. He held Houston to two runs in seven innings in his last start.
