More than 2,000 athletes participated in the MuckFest MS event at Trollhaugen Ski Area on Aug. 10.

Included in the participants was Bill's Dirty Girls/Guys, a team of local folks who were dedicated to raising funds in the fight against multiple sclerosis. The local team was the second largest team in terms of numbers to take part in the event, with a total of 28 athletes.

Participants ran through the course and tackled various obstacles during the day's challenge.

The event was put on by the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National MS Society. The money raised benefitted the National MS Society. The society offers education, support and programs for people dealing with multiple sclerosis and their families.
