The Opera for the Young was back at St. Croix Central Elementary School on Thursday, March 25.

This year, four actors and one accompanist performed "Rusalka, A Mermaid's Tale," featuring a score adapted from Antonin Dvorak by Jeffrey Sykes, and a libretto adapted by Opera for the Young's artistic director, Diane Garton Edie. Along with the professionals, 16 SCC fourth-graders were called to the stage. This is the ninth year Opera for the Young, based in Madison, has been at SCC.
