While attending the Minnesota Franchise & Business Opportunities Expo, the Jacksons set out with one franchise in mind but they soon decided it wasn't for them.  Just minutes later, they set their eyes on Maui Wowi Hawaiian, spotting their brightly colored cart and beach attire.

"I thought what are those nuts doing wearing flip flops and Hawaiian shirts in Minnesota? Then I tried the product and it far exceeded my expectations," Jim Jackson said. "The tiki-hut and people dressed in Hawaiian shirts looked very inviting. We could not believe this business existed; it was a perfect fit for us."

Jim Jackson has spent the last 30 years working in law enforcement and as a 911 dispatcher. He is presently an economic support specialist with St. Croix County, and Patty Jackson is an administrative assistant with St. Croix County Public Health. Together they plan to also include their eight children to make it a family business.

"They are all excited and eager to come on board with us," said Patty.

Maui Wowi serves all-natural fresh fruit smoothies and premium Hawaiian coffee and espresso drinks, is celebrating 30 years in business and offers a variety of low-cost franchising options.

"Maui Wowi is a first class organization. We especially like the flexibility; scheduling the amount of work you want, when you want and we are proud to offer our community a satisfying and nutritional, gluten-free beverage," Patty Jackson said. "Maui Wowi is so different from all other franchises."

Jim Jackson added he likes the "no work" fundraiser idea, and looks forward to offering this great concept to the area schools and organizations.

The Jacksons plan to begin with a mobile cart, working events during the evenings and on weekends, while continuing their full-time jobs as they grow their business. To learn more they can be reached at 715-338-5041 or jsjackson87@gmail.com.
