CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order at 5:20 p.m. by President Hinz in accordance with notice given the New Richmond News and WIXK Radio.

ROLL CALL:

Board Members Present - Marilyn Duerst, Greg Gartner, Rick Hinz, Bryan Schafer, Chris Skoglund

Board Members Absent - Neal Melby (arrived at 7:19 p.m.), Marty Wold

Administration Present - Morrie Veilleux, Brian Johnston

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

Bryan Schafer made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Marilyn Duerst seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0.

MONTHLY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Brian Johnston reviewed the monthly expenditures and revenues for January with the Board.

DISCUSSION AND REVIEW OF POLICY MANUAL SECTIONS 0000 - BY-LAWS & 1000 - ADMINISTRATION

Board members reviewed the last part of section 0000 - By-Laws and section 1000 - Administration from the first draft of the policy manuals sent by Neola.

Neal Melby arrived at 7:19 p.m.

GOVERNMENT ENTITIES NETWORK (GEN) MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

Board members were given copies of the Memorandum of Understanding received from three of the area government entities, Stanton, Erin Prairie and the City of New Richmond and discussed options the Board of Education has.

Chris Skoglund made a motion to adjourn to Executive Session at 7:40 p.m. Marilyn Duerst seconded the motion.

No -

Motion carried 6-0.

ANTICIPATED EXECUTIVE SESSION

Adjourn to closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)

(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which a governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

(e) Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session.

RECONVENE AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION

The Board reconvened to open session at 8:32 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

Neal Melby made a motion to adjourn at 8:33 p.m. Marilyn Duerst seconded the motion.

Motion carried 6-0.
