New Richmond softball loses regional final; track athletes headed to sectionals

The New Richmond softball team saw its 2014 season come to an end on Thursday in the WIAA Division 2 regional championship game.

The Tigers, the second seed in the region, lost the title game to top seed Baldwin-Woodville, 11-0. The Tigers were limited to two hits in the game by standout Blackhawk pitcher Abby Klopp. Sydney Kannel and Callie Jirik recorded the Tigers' hits.

New Richmond finishes the 2014 season with a 15-8 record.
