NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN THE MATTER OF STATE AND FEDERAL AID FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT NEW RICHMOND REGIONAL AIRPORT
NEW RICHMOND, WISCONSIN
The New Richmond Regional Airport Commission - City of New Richmond is considering petitioning the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation, for state and federal aid to undertake the following development at New Richmond Regional Airport:
Update the airport layout plan, conduct a wildlife hazard assessment/survey, reconstruct airport taxi lanes and taxiways in the south hangar area, install airport security gates and fencing, reconstruct the parallel taxiway to runway 14-32, refurbish PAPI lighting, install taxiway lighting, install lighting on aircraft aprons, install water and sewer mains, install security equipment, upgrade the automated weather observation station, upgrade the self-service fueling system, purchase and/or construct an airport terminal building and hangar, crack-fill and seal coat airport pavement, reconstruct the south aircraft parking apron, expand the aircraft fueling apron, reconstruct airport access roads, reconstruct, strengthen and expand the north aircraft parking apron, expand the north auto parking lot, construct an auto parking lot in the northeast hangar area, approach protection and clearing, snow removal equipment purchase, improvements to the airport maintenance buildings, and any necessary related work.
Notice is hereby given that the New Richmond Regional Airport Commission - City of New Richmond will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM on September 3rd, 2013 at the Civic Center, 156 East First Street in New Richmond.
All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views on the need for the proposed airport development.
