NR Chamber director resigns, takes bank marketing job
The New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce has lost its executive director.
Lisa Woletz, who took over the job in January 2013, will step down on March 14 to take on the vice president of marketing role for First National Community Bank in New Richmond, according to a press release issued by the Chamber Board on Thursday.
"As a board, we are happy that Lisa will still be working in our community with one of the Chamber’s Platinum Partners, First National Community Bank," the release stated. "Over Lisa’s one-year tenure, she was instrumental in signing up over 60 new Chamber members, launching the Cabin Fever Classic and promoting both large and small businesses in our community. The board is disappointed to lose Lisa, but we wish her well in her new endeavor."
Woletz issued her own statement on Thursday afternoon.
"It has been my sincere honor and privilege representing the New Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce and the businesses of New Richmond throughout the past year, as the Chambers’ executive director," Woletz wrote in her own statement. "While in the director's position for a relatively short period of time, I am very proud of the work that was done and the goals that were reached. The renewed energy and enthusiasm coming out of a the New Richmond community is not only exciting, but also very contagious. We are in a wonderful time in the history of this great town and I look forward to continuing to be a part of that through continual community involvement in my new position at First National Community Bank."
The Chamber Board will soon begin its search to find a new executive director."We are looking for an Executive Director who will continue and further the momentum we have gained over the past year," the release stated. "With the invaluable assistance of Chamber Administrative Assistant Stephanie Cooke, we will do everything in our power to ensure a seamless transition between directors."
