Obey says $825 billion isn't enough
U.S. Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., of Wausau says the proposed $825 billion economic stimulus package may not be enough to keep the recession from getting worse.
Obey, who chairs the House Appropriations Committee, held a hearing on the package Wednesday.
He said the plan was "no silver bullet," but he urged Congress to approve it as quickly as possible.
Obey says "Every day we delay, 10,000 or more people lose their jobs."
