Otto Dyg Sr., 72
Otto Leonard Dyg Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully at home, his loved ones at his side, after a short struggle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born June 21, 1941, in River Falls, Wis., to Christen and Mildred (Stauffacher) Dyg. He was married to Kathleen White on Oct. 27, 1961.
Otto did many things from farming (when he was first married), working at Andersen Windows, roofing, and plowing snow. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper, passing these skills on to his children, grandchildren, and friends. He instilled in his family respect, honesty, and to always stick together and stand up for those you love.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Kathleen; sisters Claudine and Darlene; and grandson Westy.
Otto is survived by his children, Annette (Chad Canopy) Sislo, Christy (Weston) Brook, Bonnie (Robin) Kinneman, Susie (David) Dyg-Mork, Otto (Vickie) Dyg Jr., Dawn (George) Ferguson; grandchildren Raymond (Lindsey), Michael, Adam, Joshua (Kristen Kunze), and Ashley (Luke Pitzen) Sislo, Matthew Brook, Brian (Kristi), Andrew, and Daniel Kinneman, Missy (Bruce) Wry, Allison Dyg, Tyler, Zach, and Katilyn Mork, Nicole and Jared Potter, Amanda and Isabelle Dyg, Anthony and Jacob Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Ramie Sislo, Hailey and Landen Sislo-Paul, Brooke Wry, Aubrey Cullen, Adisyn Pitzen, Kaydence Sislo, Rowen Kinneman, with two more on the way; brother Chris (Diane) Dyg; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A celebration of Otto's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at his home.
