Packers end training camp with generally healthy group of starters
The Green Bay Packers ended their training camp Tuesday with a generally healthy group of starters.
The only exceptions are inside linebacker Nick Barnett, who still needs to test his surgically-repaired left knee - and kick returner Will Blackmon, who suffered a severe thigh bruise against Buffalo on Aug. 22.
Barnett will play in Thursday's exhibition finale at Tennessee, and the coaches will determine his status after that.
Coach Mike McCarthy is not sure when Blackmon can return, but he hopes to be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 13 against Chicago.
Meanwhile, back-up quarterback Matt Flynn will only hold for kicks against the Titans.
That means No. 3 quarterback Brian Brohm will play most of the game.
Brohm says he's excited about showing the coaches what he can do, and he believes he's been performing better than his numbers indicate. He has completed 15-29 passes for 101 yards and three interceptions in the Packers' first three exhibitions.
