Perry Johnson, 83
Perry E. Johnson, age 83 of Dresser, Wis., died on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Amery Regional Medical Center.
He was born the son of Eddie and Petra Johnson near Amery, Wis. He graduated from Amery High School. Perry served in the Army during World War II. He farmed and worked as a machinist for Doboy. He also played guitar with the band Dick's Polka Boys. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Helmer and Lloyd Johnson; and sisters, Fern Gust and Joyce Olson.
Perry is survived by his wife, Marjory Johnson; children, Marlys (Roland) Running, Marlene O'Keefe, Marlowe (Steven) O'Keefe, and Marlin Larson; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elsie Anderson and Ilene Learn.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. at the Beebe Mortuary and from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in East Farmington, Wis. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in East Farmington.
