Players prepare for dinner theater
New Richmond's Willow River Players will present "The Queen of Bingo" at Randy's Banquet Center, south of New Richmond, for eight performances the last two weekends of February.
"The Queen of Bingo" is a story about two sisters, Babe and Sis, both on the other side of 50, who want to add a little zest, fun and excitement to their lives.
Where do they find it? Bingo, of course.
The audience is invited to share the sisters' experiences as they explore the world of Bingo, sisterhood, weight issues, winning and losing. The time is right for change for both these women, and tonight just might be their lucky night.
"The Queen of Bingo," by Jeanne Michels and Phyllis Murphy, will be presented Feb. 19-21 and Feb. 26-28. Tickets for the dinner theater are $25 for all performances.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 and 26; Saturday, Feb. 20 and 27. Matinee dinner will be served at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20 and 17; and Sunday, Feb. 21 and 28. Show performances will follow dinner. A cash bar will be available at all performances.
Reservations and pre-payments are required. An enhanced option will be on-line seat selection at the time of ticket purchase.
