Post Office construction postponed to March
Plans have been pushed back.
According to Todd Saterbak, project manager at Adkins Association of Architects in St. Paul, Minn., the new Somerset post office in River Hills Commons was supposed to start this past fall.
The new date is now March.
"Everything is lined up," Rod Dietrich, owner of Dietrich Investments, Inc. in New Ulm, Minn. said. "All the financing is done, we're just waiting for winter to be over."
Dietrich won the contract to build and own the 4,100 square-foot facility. The U.S. Post Office will lease space to replace the current 1,642 square-foot facility it now occupies on Main Street.
Dietrich said the new building will start construction early March and end July 31.
