Power out in south part of New Richmond
At about 1:45 the power went out along Richmond Way and Paperjack Drive and the surrounding areas.
According to Beth Thompson, spokesperson for the New Richmond City Utilities, the cause of the power outage is yet undetermined.
"There was a bad overhead line and a bad underground line as well," Thompson said.
Power has since been restored to the residential customers who were affected by the bad overhead line, as it has been fixed.
But those business customers in the area, which includes the industrial park remain without power.
Crews are working on getting the underground line fixed. Thompson did not give a time estimate on when the power may be up or what the cause was for the outage.
