Public invited to learn about plans for Stillwater Lift Bridge
The public will get a chance to learn about plans for the Stillwater Lift Bridge during an open house meeting Thursday at the Stillwater (Minn.) Junior High School.
Representatives from both the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation will be on hand to discuss the management plan and repair project that's designed to preserve the bridge and eventually convert it to both pedestrian and bicycle use.
The conversion of the bridge is being planned in conjunction with the new St. Croix River crossing project.
An open house will run from 5 - 7 p.m. The school is located at 523 W. Marsh St. in Stillwater.
