Temperatures were nearly 50 degrees cooler than last year's beautiful parade day, but the chilly weather didnb't stop folks from enjoying the half-hour-long community parade.

The parade followed the same route as the past few years, beginning at McCabe's Shamrock Club, heading north on South Knowles Avenue and turning west at West First Street. At Washington Avenue, the parade will turn south, past Immaculate Conception Church and St. Mary's School, and then head east on Third Street back to McCabe's.

The parade featured traditional family floats, bag pipers, animals, businesses, clubs and organizations.

The parade was started in 1977 by Ruth McCabe. McCabe was honored this year as the parade's grand marshal. She'll kicked off the parade in a horse-drawn carriage.
