Richard "Dick" J. Musch, 87, of Spooner, formerly of New Richmond passed away peacefully Jan. 5, at the Benedictine Living Center, Spooner, Wis.
Dick was born in St. Paul, Minn., on Sept. 6, 1926, son of Maryan and Anna Musch.
Dick served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. By trade he was a core maker at St. Paul Brass Foundry for 30 years. After retirement, Dick honed his skills as a specialty woodworker and created amazing works of art.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Jean (Nelson) Musch; children Thomas (Val) Musch, Diane (Chris) Johnson, and Karen Kennedy (James Maestas); granddaughters Cassandra (David) England, and Violet Kennedy; grandson Kenneth Musch; five great-grandchildren; and 24 nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, visitation 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spooner, Wis. Interment will follow at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wis. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, Taylor Family Funeral Home, Spooner, Wis.
