Roberts Post Office robbed
The Roberts Post Office was broken into late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. According to the Roberts Police Department, Post Office property was damaged and property was taken from the post office.
Between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 a.m. Thursday, an unknown person or persons forced entry through the post office's front door and took two counter-line register drawers from the post office.
Roberts Police said no mail was taken. The full extent of damages is under investigation. Police and the United States Postal Inspection Service are working together to investigate the break-in.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglary.
