Roger H. Peterson, 64
Roger H. Peterson, age 64 of Sarona, Wis. and formerly of Star Prairie, Wis., lost his courageous battle against leukemia on May 29, 2009 with his loving family at his side.
Roger was born on July 14, 1944 in Forrest, Wis. and later moved to Star Prairie where he would raise his family. Roger was one of five children born to parents Harland and Viola (Graese) Peterson.
On Dec. 3, 1966, Roger was united in marriage with Bette Hawkins and their union would bless them with three sons: Brent, Kent and Chad.
Roger worked at Andersen Windows for 35 years where he retired in 1999. Upon retirement Roger and Bette moved to Sarona, Wis. where he spent his time doing the things that he loved such as golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Roger was a devoted husband and father and a tremendous grandpa. Roger's presence in the lives of his family will be greatly missed.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Harland Peterson.
He will be greatly missed by his mom Viola Peterson; wife, Bette Peterson; sons, Brent (Missy) Peterson, Kent (Lynn) Peterson and Chad (Katie) Peterson; grandchildren, Isaac, Ivan, Ethan, Gavin, Owen and Sierra; brother, Glen (Gayle) Peterson; sisters, Gail (Gerald) Soderquist, Tammy Peterson and Linda Peterson; as well as all of his wonderful brothers and sisters-in-law.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11 a.m. at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Alden Township. Memorial visitation was Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at Beebe Mortuary and also Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. before the service at church. Interment was in the West Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
