SCC Prom set for Saturday

St. Croix Central’s 2014 prom, with the theme “Gatsby’s Garden,” will take place Saturday, April 26.

The Grand March, with Coronation of the King and Queen to follow, begins at 6 p.m. at the Tom Sempf Gymnasium at the high school. Students participating in the Grand March should arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. Spectator admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Candidates for Prom King are Jacob Conley, Marcus Laursen, Zach Offner, Fabio Pozzessere and Josh VanBeek.

Candidates for Prom Queen are Sadie Buckel, Cassie Claessens, Megan Edelman, Lauren Moll and Ella Scott.

It is a junior-senior prom open to all St. Croix Central upperclassmen. Juniors and seniors are allowed to bring one guest to the prom providing they are ninth grade or older and that they meet all the other requirements. Juniors and seniors may walk as singles or a group of three for the Grand March.

The dance will be from 8 p.m. to midnight at Rafters in Stillwater. Attendees must ride the buses provided to and from the prom. There will be no early bus. All attendees will stay until midnight and ride the bus back to SCC.
