Search for missing Hatfield woman turns into criminal investigation
Jackson County authorities are now using investigative techniques to try and find a young mother from Hatfield who disappeared a week ago today (Friday).
Thursday, officials told dozens of volunteer searchers to go home as they called in the State Crime Lab to help find Alisha Sidie, 27, of Hatfield.
Sheriff Duane Waldera said crime lab analysts went through Sidie's house Thursday in search of evidence.
There was no word on what, if anything, they might have found. The nearly week-long search covered 1,200 acres.
But now, it's focused on more specialized areas which K-9 officers and divers are checking out.
Sidie's ex-husband Doug reported Alisha missing Saturday. He told police the two had an argument before she left around 9 p.m. last Friday.
The sheriff said the two lived together and were in the process of reconciling.
