Second Freedom store now open in New Richmond

Ron Campbell, general manager at the new Freedom Valu Center, stands proudly in the newly updated gas station

A new Freedom Valu Center gas station opened at the old Cenex station location next to Burger King in New Richmond.

The new station, located at 120 Meridian Drive, opened on Aug. 3 and the station's general manager, Ron Campbell, said the response from the community has been positive.

"We've had a great response," Campbell said. "People came in and couldn't believe the changes inside."

Campbell said that they spent a lot of time cleaning and setting up the building before the grand opening.

"We went through and set everything we way we needed it and brought in all new product," Campbell said. "So everything in here is all fresh, new product."

Cambell said they are also continuing to go through the process of interviewing, hiring and training employees.

Campbell encouraged people to stop in the new location and check out their deals and specials and their new rewards card, which helps customers save money on fuel.

Freedom Valu Centers director of operations Rick Cagle said the location of this new station coincided well with their goals for expansion.

"They had put the store on the market and it's close to our headquarters in Hudson and we're really looking towards expanding in our area," Cagle said.

This store will join the other Freedom station in New Richmond, located at 455 S. Knowles Ave., and more than 60 other stations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and South Dakota.

Cagle said that all Freedom stations strive to make sure customer's needs are met and provide a good value on products.

"We pride ourselves on giving fast, friendly service," Cagle said.
