'Seussical the Musical' at SHS this weekend

"Seussical the Musical" will be presented at Somerset High School three times in the upcoming days. The schedule for the performances has changed slightly due to Somerset's advancement to the WIAA state football semifinals. The show will be performed in the high school multi-purpose room. Showtimes are Saturday at 7 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m., and Monday at 7 p.m. Tickets for each show are $5. The lively production features the work of Dr. Seuss featuring 15 of his most famous tales and characters woven together in unexpected ways. The show teaches a lesson in helping a friend, in not giving up, and in keeping a promise. It also reminds us that all people are valued, they all deserve dignity, and that peace is the ultimate ideal among nations and in every heart. Cast members pictured include (top, l-r) Riley Jackson as Gertrude McFuzz and Miranda Murphy as Mrs. Mayor; (front) Gavin Germain as Cat in the Hat, Mary Fohrenkamm as Horton the Elephant and Kayla Hansch as Jo Jo.
