Sex offender wanted by St. Croix County nabbed in Idaho
One of Wisconsin's most wanted sex offenders has been arrested in Idaho.
Garden City Police said they apprehended Dale Dolan, 65, over the weekend, after being told he might have been living in a mobile home park there.
Wisconsin officials said Dolan was convicted of second-degree sexual assault in 1986, and police said he fled after being paroled in 1994. Since then, authorities were told Dolan was spotted on both the East and West coasts, but they could never catch him.
Dolan was charged in St. Croix County in June 2005 with not registering with the state as a convicted sex offender. He still faces that count, along with a misdemeanor charge of writing worthless checks in Bayfield County. Both cases were filed in 2005, when Dolan's was listed as living on a residence on Arnold Street in Somerset.
State court records show that in August 1985 Dolan pleaded no contest and was found guilty of second degree sexual assault. Dolan lived in the town of St. Joseph at the time.
Online court records show he's also lived in Hudson, but he's now in jail in Idaho, awaiting extradition to the Badger State.
