SHS presents 'Willy Wonka'

Come and see a world of pure imagination in "Willy Wonka," a full-length musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

Somerset High School sets the stage for the story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir. Charlie Bucket and four other Golden Ticket winners receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the fantastical world-famous candy factory.

Charlie, Grandpa Joe, spoiled Veruca Salt, gluttonous Augustus Gloop, gum snappin' Violet Veauregarde, TV junkie Mike Teavee and their simply awful parents are confronted and "dealt with" by the singing and dancing Oompa Loompas.

"Willy Wonka" will be performed Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the door (cost $5 for adults and $3 for students). Imagine live theater for less than the cost of a movie!

The show will take place at the Somerset High School Multi-purpose Room. So hold onto your ever-lasting gobstoppers because the chocolate river is starting to rise!
