SMC celebrates 25th anniversary
SMC Ltd. -- a medical contract manufacturer for single-use devices with locations in Wisconsin, California, Massachusetts, Ohio, Costa Rica and India -- celebrated its 25th anniversary Feb. 1.
Founded in 1988 by Chetan N. Patel and Mike Johnson (retired in 2000), SMC started in rural St. Croix County with a vision to provide high quality manufacturing services faster than industry options of the day. From those early beginnings SMC has grown into a world-wide organization working with some of the largest medical original equipment manufacturers in the world.
"In the last 25 years we have established a track record of exceeding customer expectations," said Patel. "At the heart of these accomplishments is a great deal of hard work, dedication and a willingness to take risks to benefit our customers and our people. As I look into the future I truly believe our best years are still ahead of us."
