Somerset hosts drug seminar Thursday
2013 Know the Truth, a local drug and alcohol abuse prevention program, has announced that Somerset High School will host "A Night to Know the Truth," a prevention seminar for parents, teachers and adults on Thursday, April 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The evening will consist of an open forum for parents to ask questions as well as hearing from teens who were once caught in addiction and how they hid their addictions from their parents. The group will also address current drug trends in the area and in the school.
A Night to Know the Truth is an event for all parents, teachers and youth leaders to prepare them to talk to their kids about drug use, how to spot signs of drug use, and about the root causes of addiction.
The event, presented by Minnesota Teen Challenge and Know the Truth, will be held at Somerset High School in the Library Media Center.
