STAR PRAIRIE MINUTES

The regular Board meeting was called to order on May 5, 2009 at 8:10 p.m. by Douglas Rivard. Present: Douglas Rivard; Steve Lewis; Scott Counter; Allen Campeau; Michael Flandrick; Richard King and Felicia Germain. A motion was made by Lewis and seconded by Campeau to approve the Agenda as published and circulated. Motion carried. Minutes - A motion was made by Lewis and seconded by Counter to approve the minutes as published and circulated. Motion carried. Treasurer's Report - King read the report for May. Flandrick made a motion to approve the treasurer's report and Lewis seconded the motion. Motion carried. Building Permits - were read for April. There were 4 sheds; 2 decks and one alteration. Campeau made a motion and was seconded by Counter to approve the building permits as read. Tabletop Liquor License - Tabletop called the Clerk and advised her that they would like to have all the paper work in place before coming to the board meeting. Campeau made a motion to table this for the June meeting, Flandrick seconded the motion. Motion carried. Construction on 80th Street - the project is looking to start the first of June. After much discussion on the cost of having the road engineered Campeau made a motion to put the road out for bids and have it engineered, Rivard seconded the motion. Rivard advised Lewis to check with the County and Ayres on what the cost would be for engineering the project. Update on Plan Commission - At the last Comprehensive meeting they met with Ellen Denzer and reviewed all the notes and remarks from the open house. The next meeting with Ellen will be May 12, 2009 at 7p.m. and May 19, 2009 at 6:30p.m. will be the CSM meeting and will be reviewing Leon Orr's minor subdivision. The board reviewed the bill from the county in regards to the cost of the comprehensive plan. Old Mill Road - the board discussed the 3 alterations they received to fix the cattle pass that runs under Old Mill Road. After reviewing the 3 alterations Campeau made a motion to approve Alteration #2 which the Towns cost will be $4,549.00; Counties cost $4,549.00 and Larson's cost $2,802.00, Flandrick seconded the motion. Motion carried. New Richmond News - Rivard made a motion to approve the use of the New Richmond News for the towns publications, Lewis seconded the motion. Motion carried. Meeting starting times - Flandrick made a motion to start the meetings at 7:00 p.m. instead of 8:00 p.m. Campeau seconded the motion. Motion carried. A motion was made by Flandrick and seconded by Lewis to pay bills and to adjourn. Motion carried. Felicia Germain, Clerk
