The regular town board meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM on January 6, 2009 at the town hall located at 2118 Cook Drive, Somerset. Present were: Douglas Rivard; Steve Lewis; Scott Counter; Allen Campeau; Michael Rivard; Richard King and Felicia Germain.


The motion was made to approve the Agenda as published by Lewis and seconded by Flandrick.

Motion was made by Flandrick and seconded by Campeau to approve the minutes as published and circulated. Motion carried. Germain advised the board that on the December minutes that Carol Howes name was approved but left off the list of election workers that were appointed for the two year term.

Building Permits - were read by Rivard for the month of December. Lewis made a motion and Campeau seconded the motion to approve the permits for one shed and one repair. Motion carried.

Treasurer's report - King reported the bank balance for December and reported the amount of taxes collected up to December.

Planning Commission update - Counter advised the board of the upcoming meeting dates for the plan commission. January 20, 2009 at 6:30 will be going over any CSM' s submitted and will be meeting with Ellen Denzer at 7pm. The plan commission would like to have a joint meeting with the Town board on February 10, 2009 at 7:00 PM to present to the board the comprehensive town plan-draft (public is welcome). March 24th, 2009 from 6-8pm Open House to present the Comprehensive Town Plan to the public, if there are any CSM's, they will be meeting at 6:00 PM.

New Richmond Library - Pat Overton updated the Town board with the progress on the New Richmond Library and explained the Memorandum of Understanding between the Board of education of the New Richmond Area School District and the New Richmond Area Government entities network. The Clerk was advised to put this on the February agenda.

A motion was made to pay the bills and to adjourn. Motion by Flandrick and seconded by Lewis. Motion carried.
