Tea Party rallies are planned for Tax Day on Wednesday
April 15 is when income taxes are due. And it's also when cities throughout the country will have Tea Party rallies to protest to massive increases in government spending.
New Richmond, Madison and Wausau are among the places where rallies are planned.
The Americans for Prosperity are planning a noon-time event outside the State Capitol on Wednesday.
Director Mark Block says it will protest the large spending, tax, and fee hikes in the proposed new state budget.
The group will lobby lawmakers afterward.
In Wausau, GOP congressional candidate Dan Mielke is expected to attend a dinner-time protest on Wausau's downtown square.
Mielke started his next House campaign almost as soon as his last one ended.
He said the economic stimulus package, and Wausau Democrat David Obey's role in it, brought him out early.
