Thomas Koop, Sr., 91
Thomas Koop, Sr., 91, of New Richmond, Wis., passed on Feb. 5, and was born on May 11, 1922.
He graduated from St. Thomas College and attended Georgetown University. He graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law. In 1959, Tom moved to New Richmond and was employed by Doughboy/Domain Industries as an attorney executive.
His greatest accomplishments were his six children, and that he was instrumental in bringing WITC (Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College) to New Richmond.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mary; sister, Betty Mae Solum, infant sister, Marjorie; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Koop.
Survived by his children, Richard Koop, Elizabeth (Charles) Donner, Thomas (Julie) Koop, Jr., Mark (Anne) Koop, Mary (William) Wagner, and Anne (Gary) Young; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday Feb. 10, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, in New Richmond, Wis. Visitation 3-6 p.m. Sunday, at Cullen Crea Funeral Home in New Richmond, Wis.
