Turningpoint annual meeting slated for March
Turningpoint for Victims of Sexual Violence will hold its 2008 Annual Meeting Wednesday, March 26, at the River Falls Public Library lower level meeting room at 7 p.m.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
Turningpoint Executive Director Vickie Goulette and Turningpoint Board of Directors President Henry Dresitadt will lead the meeting, which will include an overview of 2007 accomplishments, goals for 2008 and personal accounts from clients who have been impacted by Turningpoint's services.
In 2007, Turningpoint provided services to 3,303 individuals which included: 2,585 nights of shelter, 7,326 meals and preventive education for 4,204 individuals.
"Turningpoint had an outstanding year in 2007, accomplishing many of our goals and empowering thousands of individuals who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse," said Goulette. "We look forward to another great year in 2008 with continued growth in education, and prevention efforts as well as new collaborative service efforts from local agencies. We could not do this great work without the support from our community partners and volunteers."

Turningpoint for Victims of Sexual Violence, Inc., is a non-profit organization headquartered in River Falls. Turningpoint serves northwestern Wisconsin communities and Pierce and St. Croix counties since 1979.
