UPDATE: Hudson man found dead in Menomonie
UPDATE (5:20 p.m., Thursday, July 17)
The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department was informed by the Menomonie Police Department Thursday afternoon that the body of Joseph Albert Briske, age 45, from the Hudson was found in the Red Cedar River. He left his residence in the early morning hours of Monday, July 14, without any explanation. His car was located on I-94 east of Menomonie around 7 a.m. that morning by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The Menomonie Police Department and St. Corix County Sheriff's Department will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Briske's disappearance and death.
The Menomonie Police and Fire Departments, along with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Department searched the land and water near where Briske’s car was found and discovered his body Thursday.

The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Hudson man.
Joseph Albert Briske, 45, left his residence in the early morning hours of July 14 without explanation, according to the press release. His car was found around 7 a.m. on I-94 east of Menomonie.
Briske is 5’9, 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black sweatpants with a stripe running down the leg.
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and the Menomonie Police and Fire Departments have been searching the surrounding area since Briske’s disappearance but have detected no sign of him.
