UW women crush Penn State
The University of Wisconsin women's basketball team crushed Penn State at home Thursday night, 79-52.
The Lady Lions only shot 27-percent in the first half when they went down by 17 and they never got any closer than five after that.
Jolene Anderson, Janese Banks, and freshman Lin Zastrow all scored 16 for the Badgers, who ended a four-game losing streak.
Brianne O'Rourke had 14 for Penn State, who dropped to 4-4 in the Big Ten and 13-7 overall.
Wisconsin evened its overall record at 9-9 and it's now 2-6 in the conference.
It was also the Badgers' 100th victory in the 10-year-old Kohl Center. They'll host Northwestern on Sunday.
