SPECIAL BOARD PROCEEDINGS
OCTOBER 16, 2013
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, posted 10/15/2013, the Star Prairie Village Board met in special session on 10/16/2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center. The meeting was called to order by President Gibson. Roll call. Members Present: Trustees Chris Boardman, Gary Peterson, Bruce A. Johnson and President Greg Gibson. Member Absent: Trustee Andrew Marrier.
Trustee Peterson moved to approve the agenda seconded by Trustee Boardman and motion carried.
Star Prairie Lions Club donation
Gary Briggs representing the Star Prairie Lions Club explained that the club approved a $15,000 (dollar) donation towards a new ballpark announcers stand but the gift however comes with some caveats; #1 need final approval of the plan. The club wants to continue to use announcers stand to sell beer during Ox Cart Days. Discussion ensued and Trustee Boardman moved to send this request to the park committee for their recommendation and clarification, seconded by Trustee Peterson. All members voted yes and motion carried.
The Board met in special session to work on the 2014 proposed budget.
Trustee Peterson moved to go into Closed Session pursuant to 19.85(1)(c) Wis. Statutes consider compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility -- employee wages, seconded by Trustee Johnson. All members voted yes and motion carried.
Trustee Peterson moved to go into Open Session, seconded by Trustee Boardman. All members voted yes and motion carried. President Gibson stated the Board consensus is the following for 2014 wages; Maintenance Operator and Clerk/Treasurer a 2% increase in hourly wage, Chief of Police and Patrol Officers a 2% increase in hourly wage and part time maintenance and office assistant a 2% increase in hourly wage.

Trustee Peterson moved to adjourn seconded by Trustee Johnson and motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
