William A. Class, Jr., 88";
William Albert "Bill" Class, Jr., age 88, of Somerset, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at the St. Croix Health Center on Friday, Aug. 1.
Bill was born on April 15, 1926, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He worked for over 40 years for the Burlington Northern Railroad and was General Chairman of the Brotherhood of the Railroad Signalmen.
Bill was an avid race fan and you could find him in his booth every Saturday night at Cedar Lake Speedway. He also loved watching NASCAR races on TV and playing golf with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Class, Sr., and Stella (McClellan) Class; son, Lawrence Class; granddaughter, Kari Spitzer; and two great-grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bernice "Bunny" Lois (Kameron) Class; daughters, Kristine Johnson, Nancy "Jean" (Gary) Cook, and Carol Davis; sons, William "Billy" Class, III (Kim), and Ronald Class; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Refreshments following the service. Interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery.
