Woman arrested after pursuit on I-94

Local authorities spent about 15 minutes chasing a driver who was driving erratically on I-94 June 18.

Michelle Ash, 44, address unknown, was arrested after leading several state troopers and sheriff's deputies on a five-mile car chase between Hammond and Baldwin.

Reports of the suspicious driver were reported at 2:37 p.m. when she was observed swerving on the road.

Attempts by state troopers to stop the vehicle failed. St. Croix County deputies then deployed stop sticks to incapacitate the vehicle.

Eastbound I-94 traffic was backed up briefly as the vehicle was cleared from the scene.
