Matthys gains Eagle Scout

Benjamin Matthys, son of Craig and Shelly Matthys of Star Prairie, has earned the highest advancement that the Boy Scouts of America awards to Scouts, the Eagle Scout rank.
A member of Troop 464 of New Richmond, Chartered by Butler Harmon American Legion Post 80, Ben organized the removal and construction of two walking bridges in Saratoga Springs Park near his home in Star Prairie.
On April 5 Ben was recognized with a ceremony held in his honor on one of his bridges at Saratoga Springs Park. Ben is a junior at New Richmond High School.
