Project Description

Proposed project will include the replacement of HVAC systems and general remodeling in selected areas of the building.

Work will include the following elements:Masonry and steel stud/gypsum board wall construction, replacement of doors and frames, ceiling removal and replacement, painting and floor tile, HVAC Equipment and ductwork, equipment platforms, minor roof modifications, selective demolition, and related electrical and lighting modifications.

Sealed bids for a Single Prime based on Stipulated Sum will be received for and in behalf of the Owner at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 19th.

Wage rates as determined by the State of Wisconsin are applicable to this Project.

A Pre-Bid Meeting and walk through of the existing facility will be held on Friday, June 13 at 9:00 AM. Initial meeting place will be Somerset Middle School Commons.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening without written consent of the Owner.

The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject proposals.

Document Availability

Bidding Documents will be available on or after June 6, 2008.

Bidding Documents are available from the office of the Architect and are also available for review at the following locations:

Builders Exchanges: Appleton, Duluth, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, Green Bay, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Rochester, St. Paul, and Wausau.

Contractor’s Exchanges: Madison and West Allis.

FW Dodge Plan Rooms: Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

Bidders requesting Documents from the Architect are required to submit 2 checks. The document deposit check is refundable upon return of Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days of bid opening. The second check will be retained and cashed to cover document handling cost.
