Carl “Bud” Joshua Crosby, age 82 of New Richmond, Wis., died peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2008 surrounded by his loving family at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond.
Carl “Bud” Joshua Crosby, age 82 of New Richmond, Wis., died peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2008 surrounded by his loving family at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond.
Carl was born on June 6, 1926 in Boyceville, Wis. Carl worked for Jor Gas and the New Richmond Farmers Union for many years. Carl and Mary spent 20 years in Mission, Texas during the winter months. He loved dancing, fishing, card playing, shuffle board, his hobby farm and motor home. He loved to grow things and tend to his apples, never letting anything go to waste.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oris and Freda (Schmidt) Crosby; sister, Betty Foust; brother, Robert Crosby and an infant daughter, Karen Crosby.
Carl is survived by his wife Mary (Brehm) of 60 years; children, Shirley (Jim) Thompson, Jeanne (Gene) Rudd, David (Connie) Crosby, Gary (Kristine) Crosby, Patricia (Douglas) Swanson, Steven Crosby, Rita (Mike) Stenstrom; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Les Crosby; sister, Alta Mae (Bill) Tacke; sister-in-law, Velma Crosby; brother-in-law, Floyd Foust and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church, New Richmond, Wis. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Cullen Crea Funeral Home New Richmond, and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association.
