Packers’ coach Mike McCarthy says rookie fullback Quinn Johnson and corner Brandon Underwood will be on Sunday’s game-day roster for the first time in their careers.
Johnson replaces Korey Hall, who’s out with a strained calf.
He’s expected to be out for at least two weeks, after getting hurt at Monday’s practice.
Underwood replaces Will Blackmon, who’s out for the year with a knee injury. Also, starting Packers’ safety Atari Bigby practiced Wednesday for the first time since Sept. 11.
But it’s still not known if he’ll play against Detroit on Sunday. He missed three games with a sprained knee.
Eight Detroit Lions missed practice Wednesday, as the team prepared to face Green Bay on Sunday.
Among those sitting out were starting receiver Calvin Johnson with a thigh injury, and former Packers’ defensive end Jason Hunter with a bad ankle.
Lions’ rookie quarterback Matthew Stafford took part in some of Wednesday’s practice.
But his playing status remains up in the air, after he hurt a knee a week and a half ago.
Also, the Lions signed two players, receiver John Standeford and former Houston defensive back Demarcus Figgins.
Standeford started four games for Detroit last year.
