Letter: Young leader thanks local supporters

To the Editor:

My name is Holly Rozell, from Somerset. I will be attending the National Young Leaders’ Conference in Washington, D.C. in October.

I was elected to go to the conference due to academic achievements during my freshman year. I maintained a 3.5 GPA throughout the 2007-08 school year. I will be a sophomore this fall.

The cost for the conference was expensive, the airfare and tuition were over $2,000. I did many fundraising letters to help raise the money for the cost. While fundraising, many people helped me and would like to thank each and every one who helped.

Many family members also helped me. I would like to say without theirs, and everyone else’s, help, this trip would not have been possible for me. I believe that this trip will be a very memorable and educational experience for me. I would like to thank everyone, once again, for all of their help.
